Charla Brotherton - President

Charla Brotherton has been active as a Republican all her adult life.  Locally she sought and won a contested race for precinct chair winning over 70 percent of the vote.  Additionally, she has been an active member of the TCGOP Executive committee, the Lincoln Council, serves as an election judge, and has been a delegate to SD12 and SD10 and a state delegate since 2010.  She has served as the district credentials committee in 2 district conventions and nominations committee for 1 district convention. She has served on the Tarrant County Republican Assembly board and currently serves as Treasurer of the Texas Republican Assembly. She has worked on campaigns at a grassroots level for more Republican candidates than one can count.  She is a Pioneer member of Cowtown Republican Women and serves as its treasurer. 

Charla Brotherton is the principal agent of Charla Brotherton Insurance Agency, LLC, which is a boutique insurance agency located in Fort Worth that caters to the needs of small business owners and individuals.  She holds a bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech and holds series 6 and 63 securities licenses.

Debbie Hunn - Treasurer

Debbie Hunn has been a Republican since the 1970’s.  Debbie has served as a State Delegate for Senate District 10 since 2018.  As a member of the Texas Federation of Republican Women she served as a Voting Delegate in 2019 and 2021.  She is a Pioneer member of the Cowtown Republican Women and has served as Treasurer since 2019.

Debbie Hunn is an accomplished proven professional in the real estate industry in the Fort Worth area since 1979. She received her Texas Real Estate Salesman license in 1979 and has been a Broker since 1983.  Since 2004, Debbie has been a Broker Associate at Williams Trew Real Estate. Debbie’s values are rooted in a deep commitment to God, Family, Friends and America.   Debbie has lived in SD10 in downtown since 2006.  Debbie was a charter board member of the Downtown Neighborhood Alliance where she put her personal attention to bringing together downtown residents for monthly meetings and forging a great relationship between business and the residential community.

Alana Long is a contributing member of Fort Worth, always happy to be involved. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, snowboarding, traveling and old movies. Alana is a graduate of The University of Colorado and is involved in Fort Worth real estate.

Shellie Gardner - Appointed Committee Chair

Shellie Gardner is an entrepreneur, community leader, and longtime advocate for civic engagement. As the founder and owner of Christmas Light Source, one of the top online retailers of Christmas lights since 2005, she has built a nationally recognized business that serves residential, commercial, and government customers. Alongside her husband, she also invests in residential real estate.

Shellie has been featured on national television and is a regular guest on iHeartMedia programs, sharing her expertise in business, holiday lighting, and entrepreneurship. She is actively involved in the Fort Worth community, serving on the board of West Fort Worth Rotary, as president of the board at Arts Fifth Avenue, and most recently, she was appointed to the Texas Board of Chiropractic Examiners.

A lifelong Republican, Shellie’s passion for civic participation began early—she campaigned for Ronald Reagan before she was even old enough to vote. She remains committed to supporting small businesses, economic development, and policies that strengthen communities.

Cowtown Republican Women

In June, 2015 the Texas Federation of Republican Women (“TFRW”) made a call to a few local Republican women seeking the startup of a new TFRW club in the downtown Fort Worth vicinity.

One of the first “after hours” clubs in TFRW, Cowtown Republican Women (“CRW”) meets on the first Wednesday of the month (except holidays) at River Crest Country Club.

CRW is committed to acknowledging the differences and passions Republicans may have within the party while celebrating core Republican principles. CRW works hard for Republican candidates and has set a goal of 8000 annual volunteer hours in election years and increasing its individual members’ involvement at the precinct chair level all the way to the ballot.

No, not an active voting member but you may be an associate member at a lower fee of $20

Yes, as an associate member and are always welcome.

No, that is not a requirement but Republican women are active in conservative principles daily that hours accrue naturally. It is the goal of CRW to report 8,000 annual hours. Along with other TFRW clubs in Texas we contributed over 1 million volunteer hours to the Republican party in 2016.
