Who’s Coming?
Representative John McQueeney (District 97)
John McQueeney, a Republican, began serving the 97th District in the Texas House of Representatives after winning the 2024 election; he officially assumed office on January 14, 2025.
A Fort Worth native and proud alumnus of Texas Christian University, McQueeney earned his bachelor’s degree from TCU’s Neeley School of Business.
A dynamic business leader, he launched his career at RadioShack, advancing from leasing representative to Director of Leasing, overseeing lease renewals and expansion strategies across the U.S. and Canada. He later became a McDonald’s franchisee, expanding operations from San Antonio to his hometown of Fort Worth. His entrepreneurial journey continued with logistics, growing a FedEx contracting fleet from four to 50 trucks, and further diversifying as an advisory director at Austin County State Bank and a franchise owner of Chicken Express.
He and his wife, Katie, are active members of St. Andrews Catholic Church.

McQueeney is the author of HB 4535, a bill requiring written informed consent prior to administering COVID‑19 vaccines—especially for minors or individuals lacking capacity—and mandating a standardized information sheet from the Department of State Health Services. It underscores individual autonomy and informed healthcare decisions.e
City Councilwoman Macy Hill
Macy Hill currently serves as the District 7 representative on the Fort Worth City Council, with her term set to expire in 2027. She participates in key committees including Legislative Affairs, Entrepreneurship & Innovation, and an Ad Hoc Emergency Response committee. In addition, she holds membership or board positions in various local development and finance entities (e.g., housing, TIF zones, crime control) associated with the city.||
